CannyBill allows you to sell SSL Certificates directly through your GeoTrust reseller account. Simply set up the appropriate Order Group and Package, set your GeoTrust preferences and you're all set.
Configuring Geotrust
- Signup: You must first signup to Geotrust by clicking on the signup now button.
- Enable: This option enables you to turn the Geotrust API on or off.
Building a Geotrust Package
Creating a Geotrust Package works in 3 steps:
- Create a package in the same way you would create a Standard Package but select the Geotrust order form type.
- Click on the Set Geotrust Options button and enter the pricing and what SSL's you would like to offer your customers.
- Now hit Build Package and you're all done! Now you can preview the Order Form, then copy and paste the page's URL onto your website!
Set Geotrust Options
You have successfully created your Geotrust Order Group and you can now specify the following information for Each SSL Certificate you sell.
- Enable - Would you like to turn this SSL 'on' in your Order Form i.e. do you want to sell it?
- Product Name - This is the name of the SSL Certificate.
- Product Price - This is the (yearly) price that you can set for the SSL i.e. the price your customers will pay.
- Installation Support - Would you like to sell installation support to your customers and if so for how much? (one off fee). Geotrust offers telephone support that's there when you need it. Whether you are a first-time SSL user and need installation support, or just want the security of being able to get live assistance when you need it, GeoSupport makes good business sense.
- Re-issuance Insurance - Would you like to sell re-issuance insurance to your customers and if so for how much? (one off fee). Geotrust offers a self-service certificate reissue/replacement program for the life of a certificate. This enables the free replacement of the certificate for the same domain in the event the certificate or keys are deleted or destroyed.
- Year 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 - SSL Certificates can be sold for 1 year, 2, 3, 4 or 5 years at a time. Set different prices up for different amounts of time your customers signup to.
